The word "Siri" may mean "buttocks" in Japanese, but I'm still enjoying this demo video from 1987, in which Apple predicts a voice-enabled personal assistant - here used on a touch-enabled tablet device that includes an embedded video camera at top.
This from a video that predates consumer use of the Internet by about five years.
Also note the dates mentioned and shown in the video; they seem to place this prediction of an iPad and Siri in - what else - 2011.
As Nate Hoffelder of eBookNewser puts it, "Apple didn’t just show a feature they wanted, they also managed to make the prediction come true."
A true testament to Steve Jobs, a visionary in his time.
