Walt Disney meets the Axe Angels.
Nice augmented reality experience here, featuring Mickey (who turns 83 today) and friends, in a promotion for the Disney Store in Times Square.
Mashable reports this will run through Saturday at Broadway and 45th Street, and uses a 60-foot digital billboard to bring beloved characters to life.
It gets better. The display will also be featured in an upcoming crowdsourcing promotion where families can send photos and videos of their visits to Disney Parks in order to share them on the display and through social media, according to the pub.
I'm a sucker for AR, and it's nice to see Disney doing it well.
I guess they don't call it the Magic Kingdom for nothing.
