Heineken Seeks Buzz From Augmented Reality (Video)

 

Heineken is augmenting your music weekend.

In new print ads powered by Blippar, a nod to augmented reality helps the ads come to life when scanned with your mobile phone - and then links users to exclusive content on the bands featured at a music festival in Dublin.

I always crack up when these videos show people scanning AR markers with their iPads. In reality, people probably wouldn't do that. But does provide a large screen for the video demo. And even on a mobile phone, this seems like a great mix of medium, message and audience.

Hell, we'll drink to that. But then again, we'll find any excuse to drink to just about anything.
